Thoughts

My Big Brother…….. The one who always used to drive me fast in his cars and on the back of his motorbikes The one who let me ride in the back of his pickup truck and mess about in his heavy work boots The one who used to pick me up as a little girl so I could come for sleepovers The one who would let me stand up in the car with my head out of the sunroof for the length of the Blackpool illuminations The one who I would run to when somebody had upset me so he could offer to “sort them out” The one who when I was old enough would always be up for another drink and a natter until the dawn broke The one who took my first car away when I wrote it off and got it brought back to life The one that has always been there throughout my life The one who I will always carry in my heart wherever I go My Big Brother, My Al I will love you FOREVER Alan, thank you for being my Big Brother xxx

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
